This old handmade necklace dates back to the 1950's. The coin necklace was a traditional necklace for a young Mexican girl to wear. This one has centavos that are dated 1950. The large center coin is dated 1943. Coins are copper and brass. I attached a little extra lenght of chain to the necklace so it would be longer. This can be easily removed (I would be glad to do this) and all the original parts of the necklace are there including the handmade hook closure. The necklace is in excellent vintage condition. It measures 11" from the back hook to the center of the chain. The large coin is 1 1/8" wide. The extra chain added 6" to the length.
