Here is a lovely old Yalalag cross set with an amethyst stone. The Yalalag style cross is named for Oaxacan village of Yalalag where the style originated.. This cross is an ornate style with the small lacey-look floweretts.hanging from the cross. The center-piece amethyst stone has some imperfections that are hard to see. The bale is a flowette and matches the cross. The necklace has the sterling silver eagle stamp that dates from the 1950's up to mid-60's when it was discountinued. The necklace is on a silver metal snake chain and the chain is not marked. The necklace and chain are in excellent vintage condiiton. The cross measures 4" long by 2 1/8" wide. The chain is 8" from back to center and does not include the cross in the measurement.
