Vintage batea dating from the 1950's or 60's. This one is painted in an ivory color, not the usual black. The flower painting is very well done with many delicate brush strokes. It was edged in a gold paint which as darkened with age. The front is good shape, the paint on the back is chipping (see images). There is one faint hairline crack starting on the wood, this is common in the old trays and easy to repair if it worsens. It measures 19" wide.
