Vintage batea dating from the 1940's or 50's. Carved from one piece of wood and brightly painted. This one is in good shape with no cracks or splits in the wood. The varnish has darkened a little, a little minor paint wear. This is to be expected in a piece so old. It measures 17 1/4" wide.
